Who Qualifies for Membership? Affiliate members must have a valid Provincial Vendor's Permit for their photography business or be working for a photographer who does. Affiliates must meet the employment income criteria and Qualify for LPPO status within four years of joining as an Affiliate. Affiliate members are not allowed to advertise their membership in PPO. Full-voting membership is open to those who earn the majority of their employment income from the professional photographic industry. PPO is an association dedicated to those photographers who have chosen to make photography their livelihood. Why would I want to Join PPO? Click HereAs a new member you will be joining both the PPO and the PPOC, the National Association. The Provincial Association will be your primary contact with fellow members and provide a wealth of real life information from other working photographers, at both Branch Meetings and the Annual Provincial Convention. The National Association, also hosts an Annual Convention and is hosted by a different Provincial Constituency each year. The PPOC is also our voice on Copyright reform in Ottawa and provides national exposure for our branding. Once your application has been approved you will become an affiliate member. Affiliates are not allowed to vote, or to advertise their membership in PPO. To have full rights and to remain a member, you must meet the employment income criteria and you must submit samples of your work and have them accepted by the Qualification Board of Examiners within four years of joining.
